Growing up in Northern Virginia meant playing on countless youth soccer teams. While I would struggle to recall the result from any specific game, the friendships I made along the way with my teammates and the countless hours spent driving to games with my Dad will always be my favorite childhood memory
Immediately following graduation, I left for the airport with just a one-way ticket booked to London and no concrete plans beyond that. Fast forward three months, I visited seventeen countries, meeting some of the most interesting people from around the world and making countless memories along the way.
Learning how to fit in at elementary school after the release of the “gingers have no souls” South Park episode. But on the positive side, ten years later, it made for a great college essay!
Flexibility! Leadership is not one-style-fits-all. Different individuals require different motivations, and these can change over time. Being able to pick the right motivating tactic for a particular situation is key.
After getting so out of shape after graduating from college that I was not even able to complete a turkey trot 5k, I set the goal of completing my first marathon. Ten months, ~100 runs, and fifty pounds later I finished the Marine Corps Marathon!
Jacob is an Associate on the investment team at Rallyday. His responsibilities include deal sourcing and execution, portfolio management, as well as general modeling and analysis. Prior to Rallyday, Jacob was an Analyst at Clearsight Advisors, a boutique investment bank focused on founder-owned, sell-side M&A transactions for professional and tech-enabled services, where his passion for working with founders was born.
Hailing from Arlington, Virginia, Jacob is a long-suffering DC sports fan who compounded his misery by picking up a lifelong obsession with Tottenham Hotspur. When he is not watching sports or in the office, you can find Jacob skiing in the mountains, on the golf course, or out on a run. Jacob studied Finance at the Wake Forest University School of Business.
